About Thomas
Hi! My name is Tom. I’m currently an undergraduate student at the University of Oxford.
I have been tutoring for just over 5 years. I worked at Mathnasium for 2 years, teaching students aged 8-16, where I also received formal training in various pedagogical approaches. Since then I worked for a number of local charities supporting primary school students.

Before beginning any teaching, I usually take an informal (and complimentary) session to talk with the student, assess their current ability, and discuss any concerns. From this session, I can establish a suitable teaching plan to address any areas which may need work.
Lesson structure may vary according to the needs of the student and the frequency of our meetings, but a session will typically last 60-90 minutes, in which we will go over work set from the previous lesson and similar questions on the topic in a given syllabus.
