WHAT I CAN DO >>>
I am an Oxford University graduate and a former GCSE examiner and now specialise in tutoring both Science (Single & Combined), Maths and Further Maths, as well as AQA English, at all levels. In particular my English language and literature skills are in high demand, though I have mainly majored in Physics & Mathematics. Moreover, I have a huge amount of success in teaching for the 11+ and common entrance exams, and have managed to place 6 pupils into grammar schools over the last two years.
SUBJECTS I TEACH >>>
> 11+:
I can supply material, at a nominal fee, that comprises a weekly test(s) in a similar format to the CEM, CSSE or GL 11+ tests that pupils would sit on the day. I am willing to guarantee that given sufficient time and effort over a 24-month horizon, students will pass their 11+. In 2018, two of my students got admission to KEGs, in 2017, three into Woodford and one into Ilford County High Schools respectively.
> GCSE:
I tutor in all three GCSE core subjects, namely, English, Maths and Sciences. In English I have a particular focus on AQA English Language and Literature, with most of my students having attained either a level 8 or 9, over a 2-year horizon.
Maths and Sciences are my core subjects from my own background, and have mostly taught single sciences, with the combined science being altogether easier than the former.
In both these subjects every student I have ever taught, from foundation to higher tiers, have stepped-changed their results into actual exam success, by the order of 3 to 5 grades on the 9-1 scale, and in half the cases not less than 4 grades, again over a 2-year time horizon.
> Common Entrance Exams:
I have also tutored students to pass entrance exams at both Harrow, Wellington and Westminster Schools, and all of them have continued to rely on my tutoring throughout their educational progression towards their GCSEs.
MY GOALS >>>
My students must put their total effort in; requiring homework that I have set to be completed wholly and on-time, every time. In the time they are with me (given sufficient time), they would have sat my frequent tests; listened and acted upon my feedback and consistently scored above 87% in every paper. Through all of that, I can assure you that a score of 8 or 9 in GCSEs or passing the 11+ is very achievable.
In short, my single aim is to focus on getting my students to achieve top grades, if I'm unable to do that than there's no point in tutoring and so far, I haven't had a single occasion where I've missed my mark.
MY TECHNIQUE >>>
I provide demanding education that is very well structured, and tailored 1-2-1 tuition whereby pupils are able to develop their skills in a given subject area and gain excellent methods that will help them answer exam questions. I don't believe there are any foundation, middle-tier students that are unable to excel. With close 1-2-1 attention and planning anyone can be helped to be better than what they are. I do not teach following the national curriculum, that is for the schools to do, I teach only for my pupils to pass exams and the techniques I provide gets results and ultimately that is the measure of academic success.
WHO I AM >>>
I hold a first-class degree from Christ Church at the University of Oxford in Engineering Science in 2004 followed by a masters in 2005 in Mathematical Statistics and Finance at Imperial College, London. Have worked for the global investment bank Merrill Lynch and the multinational consumer products firm, Procter & Gamble.
Joining Procter & Gamble on the graduate program I was based out of Cincinnati, USA and Barcelona, Spain. After two years, I moved back to London, and joined Merrill Lynch as a fixed income derivatives structurer and thereafter trader.
Outside of teaching, I now provide bespoke and private consultancy to high net-worth clients.

I am very much exam centred, I teach and then jump straight into questions. And everything is based on achieving a 9 at GCSE, 90% in SATs and passing the 11+ or other common entrance exams. That is my focus to aim high and build a platform of study, questions, exams and feedback around that programme until the pupil is academically secured.
I can provide learning material, wherever needed, supplemented by your own material.

A brilliant tutor, thats all I can say. I tried a few tutors for my daughter and they were all hit and miss, and I was recommended Mr. Mujtaba from someone else in the school who he was tutoring.
It was well worth it, after a series of test papers he set to see her position, he tailored a 1 year plan to turn her around. She was predicted to get 6s for her GCSE English, Maths and Sciences. Mujtaba began with English, I wanted him to teach Math and he ended up teaching all three. And she got 9s in English, Maths and Science.
I had Mr. Mujtaba coming 4x a week for 2 hours and it was worth all the money I spent.
He’s now tutoring my son and am confident it’ll be all 9s again.Mujtaba has been tutoring my daughter for the last 6 months, previous to that I tried a number of tutors but none was truly anle to understand her and make her comfortable in learning as she has anxiety issues.
I found Muj to be friendly, focused, encouraging and really good at both English and Maths. He knows how to get the subject in her mind and to extract it properly in questions.
At the start I was really only looking for her to overcome her anxiety issues, but now I honestly think there is a good chance that she will get 8 and above in her Maths and English at GCSE, which is completely unexpected given where she was in Year 10.
He was coming to teach her for 2 hours which I realised was no where near sufficient and now he comes twice a week and closer to the mocks, three times a week. And in that time he is completely focused on exam questions.
I delighted to have found such a competent, principled and decent human being, with great knowledge of his subject matter.I am now in Ilford County High School since 2018, and honestly its all because of Mujtaba that I’m here. When he started with me in Yr 4, I was so far behind that my parents only wanted me to catch up let alone be passing my 11+. He was very focused on closing any gaps and between the time he was with me to my passing, I was a test a lesson with Mujtaba, on all areas. His English is brilliant, arguably the hardest area to understand and overcome but he managed to do it in no time at all, to get my comprehension and writing up to scratch. In maths he is full of tricks, easy ways of answering questions, not the long rabbling ways that text books describe. I continue to use Mujtaba until I pass my A’Levels because though I’m at a great school, the 4 hours a week he tutors me is better than the 40 hours I spend in school.
I absolutely can rate and recommend that you will not be disappointed.View more recommendations
