About Joe
My goal is take the fear out of maths and show you that (believe it or not) there's beauty to be found in maths. I
believe maths can be fun, interesting and even exciting for students and I try to build this into the way I teach. I'm also an actor, so I know all about nerves and how things might scare us and how to deal with that! I'm friendly, and I believe encouragement goes a lot farther than a kick up the bum, so I try to work with my students rather than nag at them. I really want the best for students, because nothing makes me as happy as knowing I have improved their relationship with maths!

My lessons are typically an hour long and I teach up to GCSE level. I am open to helping with whatever maths my students want, but typically we will work out areas of difficulty and work through as many as possible given the time we have. I have tutored numerous students before, and got A* at GCSE and an A at A-Level (the highest grade possible). I also studied Economics at the University of Oxford, so I'd say me and maths get on pretty well!
