About Sia
I first started painting 19 years ago during my university days in the dormitory. Inspired by Bob Ross tutorials, I began my self-taught journey into the world of painting.
To deepen my passion, I attended many classes but found most of them unhelpful. It wasn’t the fault of the classes; rather, I struggle to learn without understanding the concepts behind the methods and techniques, and they weren’t offering this. I needed a different approach to truly grasp painting.
Painting, for me, is incredibly calming. I love getting lost in the colors and brushstrokes. When I paint a snowy landscape, I feel the chill in the snow; when I paint a sunlit cottage on a hill, I feel the warmth of the sunshine. In my stressful and demanding professional life, painting has been my escape and lifesaver. If you're looking for a way to clear your mind and relax, painting is the answer. When you're painting, all you think about is the mixing of colors and the movement of brushes. Trust me, I've been testing this for 19 years.
As a biomedical scientist, I've conducted over 100 workshops, university classes, and online tutorials regarding surgery and veterinary science. My teaching philosophy is all about simplicity and engagement, starting with basic concepts and gradually moving to more advanced techniques.
Teaching painting is my professional passion, and I deeply enjoy seeing my students inspired to pursue this elegant art. I’ve brought my unique teaching style to my painting classes, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience. My approach blends creativity with a methodical teaching style, catering to both beginners and those already on their early painting journey.
