About Ellie
I am a 2nd year Law with French student at Queen’s University Belfast. I received top grades in French GCSE and French A Level and am a real language nerd. Last summer I au paired in France for 3 months which was a fabulous experience! I can tutor you so that you grow to love the French language more and fear French GCSEs less!

As a university student, school exams are still fresh in my memory so I can tutor through structured, supportive, and engaging lessons tailored to each student’s needs. We will build strong foundations in grammar, vocabulary and exam techniques, while also developing confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. For example, at the end of each lesson, we will have a conversation in French to encourage recall of topic set phrases, application of any grammar points and formation of sentences.
I will use past papers, role-plays, French resources - such as those that helped me during my exams - to improve fluency and cultural understanding.
Regular feedback, targeted practice, and revision strategies (such as writing paragraphs for each oral topic) will ensure steady progress and exam success.
