About Mollie
I have always enjoyed learning from a young age and always worked hard in school to do my best. Despite this, tackling anxieties and difficulties meant that sometimes I found this difficult. I am passionate about language and literature and have a desire to teach others and help them build their confidence in these subjects.
My experience tutoring and working with university students on their academic skills has been extremely rewarding, and is something I would like to continue doing. I enjoy seeing people I work with become more confident and tackle things they previously found challenging, as the teachers I had in school and university really helped me develop my confidence and I would not have succeeded without them. I am caring, open and passionate, and hope to share my love of language and literature through tutoring.

Flexible lessons based on student requirements. Sessions at 30 minutes or 1 hour covering a wide range of topics reflecting areas you want to work on.
I am familiar with the UK curriculum and aim to adapt my lessons based on students' needs. This may be practicing speaking exams, working through grammar concepts or reading novels from different exam boards so that I can help students understand themes.
I have 2:1 Degree in French and Italian from Durham University and A-Levels in English Literature (A), French (B) and Psychology (A).
I have multiples years experience working with students aged 4-50+ on a variety of subjects including French, English, Maths, English as a second language, Phonics, 11+ and Reading. As a result I am able to adapt my teaching style to a wide variety of students.
- I have worked the past year as an Academic Coach, working with students 16-Mature on skills such as academic writing, referencing and research.
- I spent 6 months working as a Tutor with Explore Learning, a company who support young people aged 4-16 with English, Maths and 11+preparation.
- As part of my Undergraduate Degree in French and Italian I lived in Paris for 6 months and taught English to French high school students, improving my knowledge of teaching languages and my skills in French.
- During my A-Levels I tutored younger students in French, helping them gain confidence and working on grammar skills they found difficult.
