About Gianna
Hi there, my name is Gianna.
I am a classically trained pianist, flautist and piccoloist who has been studying music for just over 20 years. In that time I have achieved AMusA diplomas for piano (2014) and flute (2015) and held a colourful career as both a seasoned soloist and orchestral musician.
As a student I regularly competed in eisteddfods and completed AMEB exams and received consistently high marks and placings. I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunities to perform with a vast array of orchestras and ensembles of all different genres and styles. Some career highlights include performing with the Royal Concertebouw Orchestra and London Symphony Orchestra, and performing in over 25 stage productions including musicals and ballets.
Although I grew up with classical training, I've always had a passion for theatre and film music and am currently completing a Bachelor of Music - Music Theatre at the Australian Institute of Music. I believe in folowing your passions and working hard at doing what you love to do.

Lesson offered are usually 30mins or 1hr, however, lesson lengths can be discussed and customised to suit your needs if requested!
WIth over 5 years of professional experience, my aim is to provide a holistic learning experience so music becomes both a masterful skill, and a life-long passion for all. I'm a very friendly, patient and knowledgeable teacher, and tailor my teaching in accordance with the student's needs and goals (including exams, competitions, for leisure, for school etc.). My teaching style is largely influenced by own training in AMEB and Suzuki methodologies, but I am constantly updating and developing my methods with new research, ideas and technology.
While learning at my home studio, students will be offered theory and aural training as well as encouraged to perform as much as possible - ensembles, exams, eisteddfods. I also offer studio concerts, which are held throughout the year to encourage students to perform for each other in a non-threatening, warm and positive environment.
