About Hugo
My name is Hugo and I'm 18 years old, studying engineering in Oxford. I chose to become a tutor because alongside my studies I found that I had some spare time in my schedule and thought best to use it to help others. I chose math particularly because of my aptitude in the subject but also, I feel it's a subject many people worry about and struggle in, thus it felt right to help anyone where I can.

When tutoring a new student, an initial diagnostic is performed to understand their comfort with parts of the subject, and then a plan is introduced to clear up gaps in knowledge while developing exam confidence with exam practice. Usually a lesson will span an hour but if exams approach then 1 hour and 45 minute sessions are recommended to accompany more time for exam preparation. I have tutored at GCSE level before though I posses no formal qualification as of yet. I will tutor GCSE maths and further maths students of age range 13-16 ensuring they are ready for the next stage of their education.
