About Jelani
I am a passionate Guitar tutor with 15 years of experience in teaching students from school level to college and working professionals. Over the years, I have helped many learners start from the basics and grow into confident guitar players. My teaching philosophy is based on strong fundamentals, patience, and regular practice.
I focus on correct posture, finger exercises, chord clarity, rhythm timing, and scales to build a solid foundation. I believe that when students understand music step by step, they enjoy learning more and progress faster. Many of my students have performed in school events, college programmes, and office cultural functions.
Some have even developed interest in songwriting and composing. I create a friendly and motivating learning environment where students feel supported and confident. My goal is to help every student improve steadily and enjoy the journey of learning guitar.

My Guitar teaching method focuses on communication, creativity, and adapting to each student’s learning style. I believe music should be enjoyable and practical. Therefore, I connect every lesson with real-life musical situations.
I teach Guitar along with related areas such as Music Theory, Harmony, Rhythm Training, Songwriting, Ear Training, and Basic Keyboard understanding for chord visualisation. This gives students complete musical knowledge.
I use real song examples to explain chords, scales, and rhythm patterns. For example, we study how certain chord progressions are commonly used in popular music. This practical approach helps students understand how theory works in real songs.
Each lesson is customised. Beginners focus on simple chords and rhythm exercises. Intermediate students learn strumming variations and fingerstyle. Advanced students explore improvisation and composition.
I encourage open communication and create a friendly environment. Students receive regular assignments and performance-based tasks to improve confidence. My goal is to develop both technical skills and musical expression.
