About Amelia
I am a guitar tutor with 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar. I have taught approximately 300 students across all guitar styles and levels. My teaching covers improvisation, chord harmony, scales, modes, songwriting, rhythm development, and performance preparation in every course. I am passionate about helping students develop creative confidence and a musical voice that is genuinely and authentically their own. My lessons are structured, thorough, and always creative and personally responsive to each student. I have coached students for music school auditions, recordings, live performances, and band situations. Let me help you develop the guitar skills and genuine passion you are truly proud of.

My guitar lessons develop technique, creativity, and musical understanding in a progressive and genuinely enjoyable way in every session. I begin with a thorough assessment of each student's level, goals, and musical interests so lessons are always immediately relevant from day one. Warm-ups develop scales, chord transitions, and picking exercises to build the physical coordination needed for fluent confident playing at every stage. Theory connects directly to the music students are working on throughout every lesson so nothing feels abstract or disconnected from genuine playing. Jazz students work on chord voicings, improvisation, and the harmonic language that defines jazz. Blues and rock students develop pentatonic scales, bending, vibrato, and genuine authentic expressive delivery. Backing tracks develop timing, groove, and genuine musical expressiveness throughout. Classical students develop formal fingerstyle technique, structured repertoire, and the standards needed for examination or concert performance. Weekly practice plans are provided after every lesson so students know exactly what to work on at home. My commitment is to help every student become a technically solid, creatively confident, and deeply passionate guitarist.
