About Rachel
I’m a passionate guitar tutor with 12 years of experience teaching high school and college students. Over the years, I’ve successfully taught around 250 students, helping them develop a love for music and achieve their guitar-playing goals. My teaching philosophy is centred around making learning enjoyable, engaging, and tailored to each student's individual needs. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player, I focus on building a solid foundation while nurturing creativity. I’ve also helped many students prepare for auditions and performances, giving them the confidence to succeed.

Students learn not only how to play songs but also how to understand music, which helps them become versatile musicians. I incorporate a mix of practical exercises, music theory, ear training, and improvisation to keep lessons engaging and informative. I foster integrity by encouraging students to practise consistently and be honest about their progress. Cultural sensitivity is also key, as I aim to respect the diverse musical backgrounds and interests of each student, tailoring lessons to suit their preferences. Whether you’re playing for fun or aiming for professional development, I’m committed to helping you achieve your musical goals.
