About Logan
I am a High School Math Teacher and Football Coach with 7 years of experience. When it comes to tutoring, I have been doing it for almost ten years. I have tutored students in various Math subjects. This includes Calculus, Precalculus, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Discrete Math, etc. In my personal life, I am a very simple easygoing individual who loves to be in nature. I love being in the outdoors, walking, hiking, and grounding. Furthermore, I love working out and sports. I am an American football coach, so I watch the NFL and College Football religiously. I am a fan of the New York Giants. Aside from football, I always watch most other sports: soccer (big Barca fan), hockey, baseball, and so on.

The goal I have for all of my students is to not only teach them the content, but to also improve them as an overall student. Learning organizational skills, how to leverage your resources, how to be a problem-solver, and how to use different technological tools are all just as important as learning the content itself. I always make sure to really learn each and every one of my students before I teach them. I want to know what your goals are, your current skills, and your habits. That way, I can get a good sense of what pre-requisite material is needed, and where you need to improve in other aspects. Regardless of who I teach, I also always like to put students in positions where they have to grapple with problems and derive their own mathematical models. Learning math is not just about learning procedures, you need to develop a sense of meaning, explore all of the ways math concepts are connected with each other and the real-world, and then repetition.
