About Ayo
With a Mathematics degree from the University of Toronto and a deep love for numbers, I specialize in helping elementary and middle school students (Grades 2–10) build strong math foundations, boost their confidence, and actually enjoy learning. I take a gentle and encouraging approach, making sure no student is left behind. My lessons are clear, supportive, and tailored to each child’s pace and learning style. Whether your child is struggling with the basics or just needs someone who explains things differently. I’m here to help. Typical Lesson Structure
-Warm-up (5 mins): Quick review of the previous lesson or fun brain teaser
-Concept Breakdown (15–20 mins): I explain the day’s topic using visuals and relatable examples
-Practice Time (20 mins): We solve problems together, gradually increasing difficulty
-Independent Try + Support (10 mins): The student practices while I offer hints and guidance
-Wrap-Up & Takeaway Tips (5 mins): Review, Q&A, and tips to keep practicing with confidence
