About Sorabh
I am new to tutoring in the UK and am enthusiastic about helping students with any board or competitive exams. With a strong background in teaching and mentorship, I bring hands-on experience from working on large-scale international projects in optics and astrophysics, supporting learners at all levels up to PhD. Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Exeter, where I am involved in the GAIA-BInaries (BIFROST) project, an ERC-funded initiative that investigates stellar and planetary formation. I am also collaborating with the University of Michigan on advanced imaging upgrades for the MIRC-X and MYSTIC interferometry instruments at Mount Wilson Observatory in California. Beyond my research, I have a rich teaching background from my time at the IUCAA Graduate School in India, where I served as a teaching assistant and introduced students to adaptive optics through practical demonstrations. My mentorship extends to advanced techniques such as atmospheric phase screen simulations and diffraction-limited imaging, providing students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
