About Joel
My name is Joel. I’m a friendly and motivated science tutor who enjoys rugby, church, and anime in my free time. I currently work as a laboratory technician in a secondary school and sixth form, and next year I’ll be training to become a chemistry teacher. I enjoy helping students grow in confidence and achieve their best through supportive, engaging lessons.

I take a friendly and structured approach to tutoring, focusing on building confidence through clear explanations, exam practice and plenty of opportunities for questions. My lessons are typically 45 minutes, keeping students engaged and focused. I have three years of tutoring experience and currently work as a secondary school and sixth-form laboratory technician, which gives me detailed knowledge of GCSE and A-Level Science practicals. I recently graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Warwick and will be training as a Chemistry teacher next year. I tutor GCSE Science and Maths, as well as A-Level Chemistry, Biology and Maths. I tailor each lesson to the student’s needs, making learning relatable, supportive and enjoyable.
