About Mariam
I am an undergraduate studying Clinical Pharmacology at St George’s University, London, with a strong passion for both science and English Literature. I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts and guiding them to achieve their academic goals.
I decided to start tutoring because I want to share my knowledge, build students’ confidence, and make learning enjoyable. I understand the pressures of exams and coursework, and I aim to make lessons structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs.

My Approach to Tutoring:
I aim to make learning engaging, clear, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on understanding concepts rather than memorisation, using a mix of explanations, discussion, and interactive exercises. For English Literature, I help students analyse texts, structure essays, and develop critical thinking skills. For A-Level Science, I break down complex topics into manageable steps, use diagrams and examples, and provide practice questions to build confidence and exam readiness.
Teaching Methodology:
Interactive lessons with Q&A and discussion to encourage active learning.
Customised lesson plans targeting each student’s strengths and weaknesses.
Use of visual aids, examples, and practice exercises for both Science and English.
Regular feedback to track progress and adapt the approach as needed.
Lesson Length:
Typically 60–90 minutes, but I can adjust based on the student’s needs and schedule.
Qualifications/Experience:
While I am new to tutoring, I am a dedicated and passionate student of both English Literature and A-Level Science, with strong academic performance and a clear understanding of exam requirements. I bring enthusiasm, patience, and a commitment to helping students succeed.
