About Mafalda
Mafalda is an enthusiastic and versatile violinist.
Her most recent outreach collaboration with Coventry Music includes several interactive primary schools performances after being a member of the Power Up Project lead by CBSO musicians, The Stringcredibles. Since 2021 Mafalda is a violin tutor on the ARCO Project, where she provides mentoring to online students from Soweto in South Africa.
Mafalda enjoys a wide range of orchestra experience that include performances in renowned concert halls around Europe such as Berlin Konzerthaus, Romanian Anthenuem, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Birmingham Symphony Hall, among others with different professional and youth orchestras. Mafalda was also leader and co-leader of the violin sections in several programmes including Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring conducted by Andrew Gourlay.
As a keen chamber musician, Mafalda enjoyed her debut in Birmingham Symphony Hall performing Dvorak’s piano quintet in 2019 and her chamber group was also the winner of the Leamington Music Prize in the same year. She has performed in chamber ensembles with musicians including Dmitry Sitkovetsky and has lead Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Strings Orchestra in a concert with Timothy Ridout.
Mafalda gained a scholarship at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to study with Nathaniel Vallois where she graduated with a First Class Bmus(Hons) degree. She was also awarded a scholarship and will continue her studies at the Royal Academy of Music studying with the acclaimed violinist Jack Liebeck.

My lessons are mostly about playing together, improving rhythmic awareness, understanding music and finding funny ways of working technical aspects.
My students will be able to read music and play the instrument fluently with visible and motivating progress!
The lessons will be adaptable the student's age in order to meet their needs and motivation
