About Lou
I am a singing tutor with over 15 years of experience, specialising in teaching college students. My approach combines strong technical training with creative expression. I focus on breath control, pitch, vocal tone, and expressive performance, helping students sing confidently while connecting emotionally to the music.
I use interactive and innovative methods such as vocal improvisation, recording feedback, and song interpretation exercises. Each lesson is customised to match the student’s learning pace, strengths, and goals, ensuring progress is steady and enjoyable.
I place strong emphasis on performance skills. Students learn stage presence, expressive delivery, and confidence for recitals, auditions, and competitions. Music theory and ear training are also included to strengthen musical understanding and overall growth.
I encourage students to explore different genres, develop their personal style, and discover their unique voice. Over the years, I have helped many students perform successfully while nurturing their love for music.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, encouragement, and accountability. I strive to make every lesson inspiring, motivating, and transformative, helping students grow as confident, expressive, and skilled singers.
