About Veronica
Hi! I’m Veronica, a Year 10 student at MLC School Burwood with a strong passion for mathematics and problem-solving. I particularly enjoy challenging mathematical problems and finding different ways to approach a question, and I love sharing this enthusiasm with younger students.
I have extensive experience with mathematics competitions and have achieved:
• Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) High Distinction (2025)
• American Mathematics Competition 8 Honor Roll — Full Marks (2024 & 2025)
• School Runner-Up Dux of Mathematics (2025)
• University of Sydney Mathematical Problem Solving Correspondence Program (MaPS) — invited participant (2026)
• ICAS Mathematics High Distinction (2023–2025)
• International Math Challenge Champion (2023–2025)
• Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad Credit (2025)
I understand that every student learns differently, so I aim to make lessons patient, encouraging and tailored to each student’s needs. Whether a student needs help understanding schoolwork, preparing for an assessment, developing problem-solving skills or being challenged beyond the classroom, I want them to leave each lesson feeling more confident with mathematics. I can also provide additional practice questions or problems between lessons to help students consolidate their learnings.
Outside of mathematics, I am passionate about economics, music, debating, basketball, volleyball, running and cadets.
