About Corrinne

Although I am relatively new to formal tutoring, I have gained valuable experience guiding my younger siblings through their schoolwork and tutoring my Primary 5 cousin in Science since the beginning of this year. These experiences have strengthened my patience and taught me the importance of explaining concepts in ways that each child can understand.

Having experienced academic challenges myself, I understand how discouraging it can feel when something just doesn't seem to make sense. I hope to be the kind of tutor who makes learning less intimidating and encourages students to believe in their own abilities.

I am committed to being responsible, well-prepared and attentive to every student's needs. More than just helping students achieve better grades, I hope to nurture their curiosity, confidence and love for learning!

About the lesson

I believe that every child learns differently, and my goal is to help students not only improve academically, but also gain confidence in their abilities!

As an NUS Psychology undergraduate, I understand the importance of patience, encouragement and adapting to each student's learning pace. My lessons focus on building a strong foundation in key Science concepts before moving on to application questions. I emphasize understanding over memorization, encouraging students to explain their reasoning and learn from their mistakes.

Although I have no formal teaching experience, I have been helping my younger siblings with their schoolwork and have been tutoring my Primary 5 cousin in Science since the beginning of this year. These experiences have taught me to be patient, flexible and attentive to each child's learning difficulties.

My lessons are suitable for Primary School students, particularly those who need additional guidance in Science. Each lesson typically lasts 1.5-2 hours, depending on the student's needs.

Above all, I hope to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel safe asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence in themselves!
