About Karen
I am a friendly and patient tutor who enjoys helping others learn Japanese in a relaxed way. I studied English for over 10 years and majored in it at university, with a minor in Japanese language teaching. I love learning languages myself and understand the challenges of the process. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, baking, swimming, and going to the gym. I aim to create fun and comfortable lessons for both kids and adults.

My lessons are friendly, relaxed, and tailored to each student’s goals. I teach both kids and adults, focusing on practical Japanese for everyday conversation. As a native speaker with a background in language learning, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and aim to make it enjoyable and easy to follow. Beginners are very welcome, and lessons can be adapted to your pace and interests.
