About Pankaj
Hi, I'm a math teacher with 6 years of experience helping students build a genuine understanding of mathematics — not just memorize formulas for the next test. I specialize in working with younger and early-level students, where the goal is simple: make sure the basics are rock-solid before moving on to harder concepts. A shaky foundation in math early on tends to cause problems for years, so I focus on catching gaps early and closing them with patience and clear explanations.
Over the years, I've worked with students who came in nervous about math, convinced they "just weren't good at it" — and left feeling confident enough to tackle problems on their own. I believe every student can understand math when it's explained the right way, at the right pace, for them.
My lessons are calm, encouraging, and tailored to how each student learns best. Whether we're working through times tables, fractions, or early algebra, I make sure concepts actually make sense — not just get memorized.

Lesson description:
My teaching approach centers on building strong fundamentals early, since a solid grasp of the basics makes every future math topic easier to learn. Each lesson starts with a quick check of what the student already understands, so we can spend time exactly where it's needed instead of repeating what they've already mastered.
I use plenty of real-world examples and step-by-step explanations to make abstract concepts click, and I encourage students to ask questions freely — there's no such thing as a "dumb question" in my lessons. We move at a pace that matches the student's comfort level, reinforcing new ideas with practice problems before layering on complexity.
I also keep parents in the loop on progress, so everyone understands where the student is doing well and where we're focusing extra attention.
Lessons are available online or in-person, and I tailor the format and materials based on the student's age, level, and goals.
