About Joya
I’m a 21-year-old tutor who completed my schooling in both the UK and the US, graduating with a high school diploma. Having experienced both systems, I understand different learning styles and expectations, especially for students up to Year 9.
Maths hasn’t always come easily to me—I actually struggled with it for a long time. But in Year 6, something clicked, and I began to see it as a puzzle to solve rather than something to memorise. Since then, it’s been my favourite subject.
Because of that journey, I’m especially patient and understanding with students who find maths challenging. I aim to make lessons engaging, clear, and confidence-building, helping students develop their own problem-solving skills step by step.

My lessons are ideal for primary students and those up to Year 9 who want to improve their understanding, keep up in class, or boost their confidence in a supportive environment.
