About Emma
I teach guitar with over 5 years of experience and a BM in Studio Music and Jazz, Guitar Principal. My lessons focus on Electric, Acoustic, Classical, and Bass Guitar for film and video game music. I emphasise thematic development, atmospheric textures, and sound design.
Students learn to work with DAWs, layering guitars and producing cinematic soundscapes. My teaching is student-centred, supporting youth and adult learners. Improvisation, composition, and creative experimentation are emphasised.
Lessons balance technical skill, creative expression, and practical media composition techniques. Students gain confidence in creating immersive music. I help them bring their imagined worlds to life through guitar.

My teaching approach emphasises musical versatility and genre exploration. Lessons cover funk, metal, country, jazz, and more, with techniques adapted to each style. Students learn to play authentically and creatively.
I work with The Teenage Rebel and The Recording Artist, helping them discover new directions in their guitar playing. Improvisation, rhythm, phrasing, and tone are central to every session. Lessons are goal-oriented and student-centred.
I encourage experimentation and broad musical understanding. Mistakes are part of the learning journey. Students develop confidence and a unique musical voice.
Together, we explore endless possibilities and expand creative potential on guitar.
