About Mohan
I'm Mohan, a Math tutor with over 9 years of experience working with students in the US, primarily from Grades 6 through 12. I graduated from IIT Roorkee — one of top engineering institutes — and have since worked with hundreds of students across platforms like TutorMe, Brainfuse, and Yup, helping them go from confused to genuinely confident in Math.
I don't believe in just giving answers. My sessions are built around understanding — I first figure out where a student is actually stuck, then work backwards from there. Most of the time, what looks like a Geometry problem is really a fractions problem from two years ago. I fix the root, not just the symptom.
A few things students and parents often mention: I'm patient, I never make a student feel embarrassed for not knowing something, and I explain the same concept in multiple ways until it lands. I use a digital whiteboard with color-coded working so students can visually follow every step.
