About Evelyn
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education in the United States and have over 7 years of experience teaching violin and beginner string instruments through online one-to-one lessons.
Before becoming an independent online tutor, I worked at Crescendo Strings Academy, Massachusetts, where I taught beginner violin students and helped them prepare for school orchestra programs and small performances. I also taught at Blue Harbor Music Institute, New Jersey, where I worked with young learners and beginner string students developing technique and confidence.
Those academy experiences taught me how to support students who need patience, structure, and encouragement. I learned how to make string learning less stressful and more enjoyable, especially for beginners who were new to reading music or holding an instrument properly. I received a Youth Strings Education Award for my work with beginner learners.
I also have experience teaching online and currently work with students from various parts of the world. This international experience has helped me better understand different learning needs, musical goals, and communication styles, allowing me to create lessons that feel personal and effective for each student.

I teach online violin lessons for beginners of all ages who want supportive, patient, and structured guidance while learning a string instrument. My lessons are ideal for students starting from the beginning as well as those who want to strengthen basic skills and gain more confidence.
In my violin lessons, students can learn posture, bow control, finger placement, intonation, rhythm, ear training, note reading, musical expression, and beginner performance preparation. I also introduce beginner viola and cello concepts for students who want to explore more string instruments.
I understand that violin can feel challenging in the beginning, so I keep my lessons calm, encouraging, and easy to understand. My goal is to help students build a strong foundation without pressure.
These lessons are helpful for school orchestra preparation, recitals, beginner performances, and personal music goals. I guide students step by step so they can feel steady improvement and confidence over time.
