I have had many incarnations as a Performance Poet, Refugee Mentor, Personal Advisor and Writer. I have over 15 years experience working predominantly with the 16 - 25 yr age group and fortunate to have worked with people from diverse backgrounds.

My teaching methodology is a planned approach based on the objectives and goals of the individual. I use an innovative and interactive style depending on the students level of understanding. This may include topic based discussions, role-play using short scripts/stories, poetry applicable to students interests/life to enhance and expand the range of vocabulary being used. Using rythmn often relaxes nervous students and makes the learning process enjoyable.
