About Jamie
I have been working as a music tutor, songwriter, and performing multi-instrumentalist for the past 8 years.
Between the roles of lead and self-accompanied vocalist, backing vocalist, electric and double bassist, pianist, and guitarist, I have had the opportunity to perform at weddings, festivals, corporate events, and original music showcases, as well as in studio settings to record my own original music, and collaborate with other artists.
I believe that an ongoing musical practice of my own keeps my teaching inspired and inspiring!

I believe learning about music should be enjoyable and engaging! For this reason, I structure lesson around repertoire that you (or your child) already love listening to.
Lessons lengths vary depending on student age/attention span and frequency. See the following examples for an idea what lessons lengths may look like:
20 mins : weekly beginner lessons for a child aged 3-8
30 mins : weekly beginner lessons for adults and children aged 8+ or continuing students ages 6+
45 mins : weekly lessons for adults, or bi-weekly lessons eg for song writing lessons.
I also offer 2hr song writing workshops for those looking to dive a bit deeper. Within the two hours we can make a strong start on writing a song and also learn recording/music tech skills through demo recordings.
