About Hannah
About me:
I'm a professional with a first class degree from the University of Oxford (2014). I'm conscientious and highly-organised, and take pride in the quality of the service I offer.
I have an A in A Level Maths (2011), and an A* in GCSE Maths (2009).
I excelled academically at a comprehensive school and was awarded The Governor's Prize for academic achievement for my GCSE results of 10*s.
I participated in the UK Maths Challenge on four occasions, earning three gold and one silver certificates, as well as three 'Best in School' certificates. I was also the first person at my school to progress to the Pink Kangaroo Maths Challenge.
My experience:
I am very familiar with the format of exam questions and papers and am able to offer advice on revision methods as well as the syllabus content. I am also friendly, supportive and adaptable, and ensure that I build rapport with each student, and put them at ease so they feel confident to give their best.
My teaching approach:
I tailor my approach to the needs of each individual student. I believe it is important to take a thorough approach to identify areas of weakness and then address these systematically, starting with the basics, to shore up the foundation upon which more advanced material can be assimilated with confidence by the student.
As well as building knowledge and understanding, I ensure students are well-prepared to sit their exams. Students work through past and mock exam papers, with my support, enabling them to build their experience and independence, so that when the time comes to sit their exams, they have the confidence and skills to excel.
I use a range of resources including text books, past papers, and online materials.
