About Amita
I am a friendly, supportive, and highly patient chemistry tutor who is passionate about making the subject accessible and engaging for students of all abilities. My teaching approach is centred on developing a strong conceptual understanding rather than relying solely on memorisation, helping students build lasting confidence in their problem-solving skills.
I tailor lessons to each student's individual learning style and pace, creating a positive and encouraging environment where questions are welcomed and curiosity is valued. I believe that students learn most effectively when they feel comfortable exploring ideas, making mistakes, and developing their understanding without pressure.
Drawing on both my academic training and extensive tutoring experience, I strive to explain complex chemical concepts in a clear, logical, and relatable manner. When faced with challenging questions, I take a rigorous and evidence-based approach, ensuring that students receive accurate, well-researched explanations that deepen their understanding.
My goal extends beyond improving examination performance; I aim to help students develop genuine confidence in chemistry, strengthen their analytical thinking, and cultivate a more positive and lasting appreciation for the subject.

Alongside school chemistry tutoring, I can also offer guidance on research careers and advice for admission to top schools, if needed.
