About Colin
My love for Maths began as a GCSE student when my teacher saw the potential in me and encouraged me with praise & challenge. Maths & Further Maths A levels followed which propelled my interest even further to taking up & completing a degree in Maths, at Oxford University. I then spent many years helping students learn Maths. This was of course as Maths teacher and tutor. This was in maintained & independent schools, a lifelong experience that I am glad to have had. The vast majority of my students have followed A-level and GCSE courses in the UK and most of these learners have achieved their target grades or higher throughout my career.

I think that learning Maths is about good communication, building confidence and gathering success. Together with my knowledge I'll employ a range of visual, auditory and kinaesthetic approaches with the aim to bring the very best for you in Maths. I'll aim to identify your misunderstandings and offer ways to solve them and I'll endeavour to keep you motivated with fascination and challenge. I'll also listen to you and respond with precision to your needs. We'll work together to achieve those all-important grades you're looking for.
