About Ben
I’m a friendly and dedicated online maths tutor, currently in Year 12 studying A-levels. After achieving top GCSE grades in Maths (8) and Further Maths (6), I know the challenges students encounter and how to break down complex topics to make learning more accessible. My aim is to help students gain confidence in specific areas of maths and reach their full potential in a short amount of time, while also making the process enjoyable so it doesn’t feel like a chore. I truly believe that with the right support and a structured approach, anyone can enhance their maths skills. Whether you’re getting ready for Primary SATs or GCSE exams, I customise each session to fit your needs and learning style, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.

My tutoring is built around personalised learning plans, designed to take students from where they are to where they want to be. I assess each student's strengths and weaknesses, then create a structured revision plan to target key areas. I set optional practice tasks, mark them, and give detailed feedback so students can chart their progress. If there was a particular topic that turned out to be difficult, then I revisit the same topic sometime later to fully cover it. With my step-by-step style of teaching, I make maths less daunting, more approachable, structured, and interesting in a way that helps students feel confident, become familiar with examination techniques, and achieve the best possible results.
