About Destiny
Hello I'm Destiny! I graduated with my Master's in Library Science and my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. I was a 7th grade teacher for 2 years and a Kindergarten teacher for 1 year. I also have worked with students in schools of all ages. I have been tutoring reading for K-8th grade students for 4+ years. When I was tutoring in person, I helped students grasp concepts through hands-on learning. I also helped by coming up with creative solutions for students that were struggling. Some subjects that I was tasked to tutor were Algebra 1, Elementary Science, Basic Elementary Skills, Spelling, and Writing, SAT and ACT Prep among many others. I created a study skills curriculum that was used in a major tutoring company in the Milwaukee area. I tutored 20 students during the summer on their study skills and helped many of them to navigate through their years of middle and high school with that program. I consider this to be my best subject and my most successful subject.

Our lessons are designed to help young learners master the foundational skills measured on most kindergarten readiness assessments. Each session blends hands-on practice, playful learning, and structured skill-building so children feel confident, capable, and excited for school.
Core Learning Areas
Early literacy skills — Letter recognition, letter sounds, name writing, phonemic awareness, and following multi-step directions.
Early math foundations — Counting, number recognition, comparing quantities, simple patterns, shapes, and early problem-solving.
Fine-motor readiness — Pencil grip, scissor skills, tracing, coloring, and hand-strengthening activities that support writing.
Social-emotional readiness — Taking turns, expressing needs, managing frustration, and building confidence during learning tasks.
School behaviors and routines — Sitting for short activities, transitioning between tasks, listening to instructions, and participating in group learning.
