About Ana
Hi, I’m Ana. I’m a native Spanish speaker from Spain and I have a degree in Translation and Interpreting. I have also trained as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher in the UK, teaching Spanish and French in secondary schools.
I’m passionate about languages and I enjoy helping students feel more confident when communicating in Spanish. Because I have experience in both Spain and the UK, I understand the challenges English-speaking students often face when learning Spanish, especially with grammar, pronunciation, translation and exam preparation.
I would describe myself as patient, supportive and organized. My aim is to make lessons clear, encouraging and useful, while helping each student make steady progress at their own pace.

My lessons are friendly, structured and focused on helping students feel more confident with Spanish.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals and exam board, whether they need support with GCSE Spanish, A-Level Spanish, speaking exam preparation, grammar, vocabulary, translation or essay writing. I always aim to make lessons clear and practical, with plenty of opportunities for students to practise and receive feedback
For GCSE students, I can help with role plays, photo cards, general conversation questions, writing tasks, reading, listening and translation. I focus on exam technique as well as language accuracy, so students understand not only what to say, but how to improve their marks.
For A-Level students, I can support speaking practice, essay planning, grammar, translation, IRP preparation and cultural topics. I can also help students build more sophisticated vocabulary and express their ideas more naturally in Spanish.
As I have trained as a Modern Foreign Languages teacher in the UK, I understand what students are expected to do in school and how to break things down in a way that feels manageable. My aim is to create a calm and encouraging space where students can ask questions, make mistakes and make steady progress.
