About Riya
I am a university student studying pharmacy in my second year. I have been tutoring for 7 months now and I enjoyed every lesson I have taught so far. Exams aren't easy and having experienced it all first-hand, I know what you need to be able to do in order to achieve the highest grades.

Lessons are one hour long.
The general layout of the lesson will be as follows:
1. Doing some exam-type questions to highlight areas where the student needs more work on
2. Teaching the areas the student struggled with
3. Giving the student more questions on this topic until they have mastered it
4. At the start of the next lesson, I will give questions from last week's lesson to make sure that the information has been retained and we will then move onto the next topic.
I am a 19 year old pharmacy student studying at university. Having done my GCSEs and A Levels I am aware of what is expected of students in order to achieve the highest grades. I have chosen to specialise in teaching GCSE maths, chemistry, PE and biology as it was these subjects that I achieved the highest grades (grade 8, grade 9, grade 9, grade 8, respectively) in and have the best understanding in.
I have had experience in teaching students at GCSE level for the last 7 months, all at different capabilities. As the most of the lessons I have done have been weekly, I was able to build a professional relationship with the students so that they feel comfortable in engaging with the lesson so that they get the most out of each session. The lesson layout as mentioned above has helped my previous students increase their grades by at least one grade, proving that my method of teaching works.
I also offer tutoring for other GCSE subjects such as history (grade 8), physics ( grade 8) and A Level Psychology (A*), so please feel free to ask. I specialise in teaching AQA, however I can adapt to teach the student if they need help if they are sitting an exam with another exam board.
