About Nicole
I’m a PhD-trained biophysical chemist and current postdoctoral researcher with extensive experience studying molecular biology, biochemistry, and protein structure. Throughout my academic career, I’ve spent many years mentoring and teaching students at different levels, and I’ve found that my favorite part of science is helping others understand concepts that initially seem complicated or overwhelming.
My approach to tutoring focuses on building intuition and confidence. Rather than memorizing formulas or facts, I work with students to understand the underlying concepts so they can solve problems independently. I enjoy breaking down difficult topics into manageable steps and adapting explanations to each student’s learning style.
I work with high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and related subjects. I’m especially happy to help students preparing for exams, working through challenging problem sets, or trying to build a stronger conceptual foundation in the sciences.

I am a PhD-trained biophysical chemist and postdoctoral researcher with over 8 years of experience studying molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics. I specialize in helping students understand challenging scientific concepts by breaking them down into clear, intuitive ideas. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong conceptual foundation while also developing problem-solving strategies that students can apply independently.
I tutor high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in subjects including chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and biophysics. Whether you're preparing for an exam, working through difficult problem sets, or trying to strengthen your understanding of core concepts, I tailor sessions to each student's goals and learning style.
In addition to coursework support, I can also help with scientific writing, research presentations, and graduate school preparation. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them feel confident tackling complex scientific problems on their own.
