About Me
My name is Tanushree, and I am currently completing my PhD in Biophysical Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. My academic journey has consistently placed me in the top tier of my cohort, and I have trained in internationally recognised research environments, including the University of Cambridge and the Max Planck Institute in Germany.
Over the past several years, I have taught and supervised undergraduate students in chemistry and biological sciences, delivered lectures in medicine and disease-related topics, and supported students in developing both subject mastery and scientific confidence. Teaching is something I genuinely value — not just explaining content, but helping students develop clarity, structure, and independent thinking.

As a PhD in Biophysical Chemistry at the University of Cambridge, I bring both deep subject expertise and structured teaching experience to my lessons. I have supervised undergraduates, taught biophysical chemistry, protein folding, and molecular biology, and delivered over 80 hours of lectures in biology and medicine-related topics.
My approach focuses on building true conceptual understanding rather than memorisation. I break complex scientific ideas into clear, logical steps and use visual explanations, real-world biological examples, and problem-solving exercises to strengthen analytical thinking. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and learning style, ensuring clarity and confidence before moving forward.
A typical lesson lasts 60–90 minutes and includes concept explanation, guided practice, and exam-focused application where relevant.
I teach students aged 11–25, including GCSE and A-Level Biology/Chemistry students, as well as undergraduate students studying life sciences, biochemistry, or related subjects. I also support students preparing for competitive university entry or strengthening their scientific reasoning skills.
My goal is not only to improve grades but to help students think like scientists — structured, analytical, and confident in tackling complex problems.
