About Jaime
While I am a research nerd at heart, I am equally passionate about higher education and mentorship. Figuring out why something is correct or why something is wrong is my favorite thing about teaching. I aim to reduce performance-based anxiety to foster a relationship that allows us to comfortably assess the source of misunderstanding
I have taught a number of college lab courses ranging from sophomore introductory biology to senior plant biology to genetics recitation (aka biology math class) as a teaching assistant. I am the senior graduate student in my research lab, responsible for training fellow lab mates and interns in the lab as well as on the computer.
