About Rachael
I’m a PhD candidate in Psychology at the University of Melbourne with First-Class Honors, where I’ve taught and mentored undergraduate and honors students. I specialize in tutoring psychology, statistics (quantitative and qualitative), academic writing, and advanced study skills. In addition to tutoring, through my program Learner for Life, I’ve developed a passion for helping students become confident, independent learners. My goal is to equip each student with practical tools that lead to real academic progress and long-term success.

I take a practical, student-centred approach to tutoring that combines evidence-based strategies with personalised support.
Lessons typically run for one hour and are tailored to suit each student’s goals, learning style, and academic level. I focus on teaching advanced study skills, psychology concepts, qualitative and quantitative research methods, and report writing.
My students have included third-year psychology undergraduates at the University of Melbourne, where I’ve also mentored honours students. I’ve helped students in areas such as report writing, statistical analysis, psychological concepts and thesis writing—including proofreading a PhD dissertation (Oxford University).
Lessons are available online or in person in Doncaster, and are suited for high school students preparing for university, psychology undergraduates, or anyone looking to sharpen their academic edge.
