About Jaskaran
I am a PhD Candidate in Mathematics at Simon Fraser University with several years of teaching and tutoring experience. As a Teaching Assistant, I have worked with students in courses including Calculus, Ordinary Differential Equations, Advanced Linear Algebra, Number Theory, and Rings and Fields.
I have experience working with students at both the high-school and university levels and enjoy helping students develop a strong understanding of mathematics rather than simply memorizing formulas. I adapt my teaching approach to each student's background, goals, and learning style.

I believe mathematics is best learned through interaction and practice. I first introduce the key concepts and make sure the student understands the underlying ideas before working through examples and problems together. I regularly ask questions and encourage students to explain their reasoning, which helps me understand their strengths and identify areas where they may need additional support. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, learning style, and goals, with the aim of building both mathematical understanding and confidence.
