About Carson
Teaching 258 students has convinced me that intuition is mostly just hidden calculation. You do not need to be a genius to master positional understanding or defensive technique.
I focus on developing board vision and precise endgame technique through 13 years of rigorous practice. My sessions cover attacking play and king safety for all levels.
Students learn to record their games using standard notation to track their growth. We drill tactical patterns until your brain recognizes them instantly. Expect to walk into your next tournament feeling capable and fully prepared.

You reach a higher level of play when you stop guessing and start visualizing the board clearly. Improving your game requires systematic study of pawn structures and defensive technique to ensure you hold your ground. Because I am a PhD candidate in Statistics at Nanyang Technological University, I bring a methodical and analytical mindset to every move you make on the board. We analyze your decisions to see where calculation errors occur.
My instruction remains grounded in the reality of tournament play. I look forward to helping you refine your strategic habits.
