About Supriya

I’m a PhD candidate in Population Studies in Health with over seven years of experience teaching and mentoring students across psychology, social sciences, and health-related disciplines. My academic background spans psychology, philosophy, sociology, and broader human sciences, which allows me to help students think critically, connect theory to real world issues, and build strong analytical and writing skills.

I’ve taught and supported students at the undergraduate and graduate level, both formally as a teaching assistant and mentor, and informally through one-on-one tutoring and academic coaching. My teaching style is structured, and student-centred. I focus on helping learners understand concepts rather than memorize content.

As a researcher, my work focuses on mental health, inequality, and social determinants of health, which means I bring a strong emphasis on critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and evidence-based learning into my teaching. I also support students with academic writing, research design, qualitative and quantitative methods, and exam preparation.

If you’re looking for clear explanations, thoughtful guidance, and a supportive learning environment, I’d be happy to work with you.

4. Conclusion: Summary of the main points covered in the lesson and review of key takeaways.

The lessons are for students pursuing a degree in psychology, typically at the undergraduate level. They are also suitable for high school students or anyone interested in learning about the fundamentals of psychology.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I focus on meeting the needs and level of understanding of the students to move according to their pace.
