About Daniel
I am a PhD computer scientist and mathematician with experience teaching at many levels. One-to-one teaching is the best way to master any subject, as we can progress at exactly the level the student requires, and address the student's specific needs and questions.

Mathematics should be taught through example and problem solving. For students, learning any technical method can be hard if it is not backed up by conceptual understanding. Understanding is built through motivation (why is this concept important?) and use (how is this concept applied?). In essence, a student learns a new concept by building lots of examples, solving lots of problems, asking lots of questions, and drawing lots of diagrams. I have many years of experience teaching young students preparing for Maths Olympiads, or learning specialised subjects. I have taught and supervised students at University.
