About Fawad
Dr. Fawad Zaman holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering and has a distinguished academic and research background, including a visiting research position (2021–2022) in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London, UK, and a recently completed postdoctoral fellowship at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
Dr. Zaman is a licensed professional engineer registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council and brings over 10 years of experience in higher education, spanning teaching and learning, curriculum development, research, student mentoring, and academic administration.
His research interests lie primarily in:
Array Signal Processing
Wireless Communications
MIMO Radar Systems
Faulty Antenna Arrays
Direction of Arrival Estimation
Adaptive Beamforming & Null Steering
Evolutionary Optimization Techniques
He has authored approximately 50 peer-reviewed research articles published in top-tier journals and databases including IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer. He has also led and completed several funded research projects, focusing on signal processing algorithms and the design, modeling, and fabrication of RF sensor nodes.
Dr. Zaman has served as Lead Guest Editor for special issues in reputed journals such as Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing and Mobile Information Systems. He has supervised several Ph.D. and MS theses in signal processing and communication.
He has also chaired sessions at numerous international IEEE conferences.
