About Becky
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at King’s College London, having completed my PhD investigating adolescent neurodevelopment and resilience. I have over 10 years of experience working in academia, specialising in mental health and neuroscience, and have supported students across undergraduate and Master’s-level study throughout this time.
My academic background means I understand university expectations, marking criteria, and how to communicate complex material clearly and professionally. I aim to create a supportive, focused learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and developing their skills.
Outside of academia, I enjoy backpacking and travelling whenever possible, which helps me stay curious, open-minded, and engaged beyond my research work.

I offer one-hour lessons tailored to each student’s needs. Sessions can focus either on explaining A-Level or university-level psychology and neuroscience concepts or on providing detailed, personalised feedback on written work such as essays, dissertations, or theses.
For teaching sessions, I explain topics in a clear, structured way and help students understand key ideas, theories, and how to apply them. I adapt my explanations to the student’s level and encourage questions to make sure everything is clear.
For writing support, I review students’ work carefully and give focused feedback on structure, clarity, argument, and academic style. I can also spend time reading and commenting on work outside of the session, followed by a discussion lesson to go through feedback in detail.
