About Afshaan Naaz
I am Afshaan Naaz Khaleed Shaikh, a passionate Microbiologist and Biology educator with a strong academic and research background. I have submitted my PhD thesis in Microbiology on “Anticancerous Compounds from Bacteria” from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.
Currently, I am working as a Research Scientist-B at the Multidisciplinary Research Unit (Department of Pathology), BJGMC Pune. My research work focuses on microbial enzymes, bacterial metabolites, and their potential applications in cancer research.
I have always been deeply interested in teaching and mentoring students, especially in Biology and Microbiology. As a Microbiology topper, I enjoy simplifying complex biological concepts and helping students build a strong understanding of the subject.
Through my classes, I aim to make Biology clear, logical, and interesting, whether for school students, NEET aspirants, or university students studying Microbiology and Biotechnology.
My approach is friendly, supportive, and focused on helping students gain confidence in the subject while achieving excellent academic results.

My classes focus on clear concepts, strong fundamentals, and real scientific understanding of Biology and Microbiology. I teach students in a simple and interactive way so that even complex topics become easy to understand.
With my background as a PhD scholar in Microbiology (thesis submitted) and Research Scientist at BJGMC Pune, I combine academic knowledge with practical research experience. This helps students not only prepare for exams but also truly understand the subject.
