About Dana
I am a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of California-Irvine, and have over a decade of experience as a tutor and teaching assistant for a variety of STEM subjects including Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, where I've worked with both high school and college students.
A key aspect of my teaching style is understanding that each student is a unique individual with their own strengths and weaknesses. My job as a tutor is to help them navigate those traits and find success, not to try and force them to fit a mold of an "ideal student". I myself have struggled with learning issues such as ADHD and have managed to succeed in my education by allowing myself to learn in the way that suits me best. I look forward to aiding you in your own educational journey!

I have extensive experience teaching high school and college-level students in a variety of STEM subjects. With me as your tutor, we'll first identify the specific issues you're having in class. Then, I'll work with you to help you both grasp the course's core concepts and determine how you learn best so you can improve your own studying abilities. We'll do this using a mixture of techniques: working through your course's assignments together, reviewing your exams, and practicing with outside worksheets.
