About Gustavo
Hi! I'm a PhD physicist and Fulbright alumnus with postdoctoral research experience, and I have taught at the University of Florida and Universidad de Guanajuato.
I have a background in astrophysics and cosmology, with both research and teaching experience. Over the years, I've worked with students in demanding university courses and I understand how challenging physics can feel at times.
I've taught in different environments: from large university settings to smaller, more personalized classes, and even outside traditional academic spaces (like teaching salsa dancing in a university club). This has helped me become more comfortable working with students of different levels and learning styles. I was also awarded for my teaching at UF during my time as a TA.
I take my work seriously and aim to be reliable, clear, and supportive in every session. At the same time, I try to keep things relaxed and approachable. I enjoy seeing students gain confidence as things start to click: physics should not feel intimidating!

I help students really understand physics, especially classical mechanics and electricity & magnetism, without relying on memorization. I have plenty of ready-to-use notes, problem sets, and exams, so we can focus directly on what you need.
My style is patient, flexible, and adapted to you. Whether you prefer step-by-step problem solving or conceptual explanations, I'll adjust to what helps you most. No question is too basic, feel free to ask anything!
A typical lesson focuses on your current topics: reviewing concepts, working through problems, and practice exam-style questions.
I mainly work with university students, with or without calculus, and lessons are available in English or Spanish.
