About RAND
Over a 50-year period I have successfully helped thousands of students live up to their full mathematical potential. Experience shows that it is equally important to help students develop the right attitude towards mathematics as it is to develop specific mathematical skills. A critical part of this attitude consists of understanding that learning fundamentals and how to think are more important and useful than learning to solve problems mechanically by rote. So a significant portion of my training is aimed at developing the right attitude which will also carry over into the study and mastery of other subjects.
