About Ritwik
I’m Ritwik, a statistics and psychology tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students turn intimidating topics into something manageable and even enjoyable. I grew up in the UK, was born in India, and have lived and studied in the Netherlands and Australia, so I’m very used to working with people from different backgrounds and finding explanations that fit their way of thinking.
Outside tutoring, I love travelling, learning about different cultures, and experimenting in the kitchen. That curiosity carries over into my teaching: I’m always interested in how you see the problem and what will make it “click” for you.
I’m passionate about making difficult ideas—especially statistics and research methods—feel clear and intuitive instead of scary. Most of all, I care about improving your confidence when you approach challenging material. Whether you’re stuck on an assignment, worried about an exam, or overwhelmed by a thesis, my goal is that you leave each session feeling calmer, more capable, and with a practical next step you can take on your own.

My tutoring style is calm, structured, and very student-centred. I start by understanding what you find difficult and then break topics into clear, manageable steps, using examples and practice questions to build both understanding and confidence. Lessons are typically 60-90 minutes, giving enough time to explain concepts, work through exercises together, and plan what you should focus on between sessions. I am a PhD-qualified psychologist with several years of university-level teaching and tutoring experience in statistics, research methods and core psychology subjects. My lessons are suitable for undergraduate and postgraduate students (including those returning to study or repeating modules) in psychology, social sciences, and health-related degrees who want clearer explanations and calm, confidence-building support.
